Condominium Association Compliance

Living in any Condominium Association requires you to comply with certain rules and regular duties to either maintain your home or provide proof of service.  This is done for the benefit of the community and is usually done to reduce risk to the Association.

Dryer Duct Cleaning

Dryer Duct cleaning is required of all homeowners regardless of use.  Dryer ducts get filled with lint and/or risk animals nesting in them.  Fires from failure to clean dryer ducts is a common fire hazard.  

Dryer Duct cleaning is required every 2 years and is to be preformed during June 1st to August 31st.  Paperwork filed by September 15th to avoid a fine.  Dryer Duct cleaning is done on even years (i.e. 2014, 2016, etc)

The Association, in an effort to assist homeowners with this compliance ,arranges with a vendor to perform this work from the outside.  Your account is then billed for this service.  You have the option to "opt-out" for this service if you want it performed by another contractor.
  
Chimney Inspection & Cleaning

Chimney inspections are required for units which have fire places.  The inspections must be done by a certified chimney inspection company.  The Chimney must be inspected every year, regardless if you used the chimney or not.  This is to prevent a future problem where animals have nested in the chimney and could cause an uncontrolled fire in the Chimney.

If the Chimney inspector determines a cleaning is needed it must be preformed.  If there are any other issues with the Chimney, please advise the management office so they can work to address any issues.

Chimney inspections must be completed between June 1st to August 31st every year.  The paperwork must be submitted by Sept. 15th to avoid a fine.
