I have launched the beta of the official Ravens Crest East Forums. You will need to register for the website in order to view and post on the forums. These forums are for Ravens Crest East owners and tenants only. Your registration information will be checked against our database of owners prior to access being granted.
That said the forums are a great new feature. Members of a community need a place to gather to discuss the problems and solutions of that community. You can do in by meeting your neighbors in a social setting or now, thanks to the new forums, you can do it on-line in a virtual fashion.
Since this process is requiring a registration process, it opens the site up to the ability to have member content that can't be granted to the general public: like being able to post comments to this blog for example. Try it.

In addition to new photos I have more great news. The project has been exceeding expectations in every respect: one of them is speed! The project is well ahead of schedule. We are currently preparing a full printed newsletter to give an update on the project both from construction progress and financial standpoints. In order to allow you to prepare for the work in your building as soon as possible we have posted an updated schedule of construction.

As many of you know we have been without a Renovation Project Facilitator for the past month. The management staff has done their best to pick up the extra workload while we aggressively interviewed new candidates. After almost 2 months of searching for a replacement I am proud to announce that as of last night we have signed a contract with Paul O’Brien for his services as Renovation Project Facilitator. His first day of work onsite was today. We will post a bio about Paul on Monday, but I wanted to announce the exciting news immediately. Welcome to the team Paul!

Every day many calls pour into the Ravens Crest East management office onsite at 1700 Ravens Crest Drive. During the planning of the Renovation Project, a substantial increase in call volume was anticipated. Although there is a Renovation facilitator that is onsite full time, the office number is a shared call center. The additional load of calls and call routing would have required someone virtually dedicated to that role, or would at least greatly inhibit that person’s productivity executing the already heavy workloads on the management staff. It was decided to automate the process using a modern PBX system.
The new PBX system has been installed now since May 29th 2008. After over a month in operation I am happy to report... Read More » |

Here is the "official" explanation on the rain delays from our Engineer Steve Morris:
“The Contractor has to make a decision as to whether to work or not when rain or other bad weather is forecast. If the Contractor exposes a wall or roof to perform work, and rain occurs, leading to water entering the building and causing damage to the building or resident’s property, they (the Contractor) are responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged property. This can be a significant cost. Therefore, the Contractor must carefully consider the weather forecast each day before beginning work on a building. Typically, if the forecast gives a 30 percent chance of rain, or better, the Contractor will not work. The Contractor actually... Read More » |

Great news! The first few weeks of the website being online have been a raving success. As you can see in the graph to the left there have been over 2500 visits to date averaging over 100 per day and peaking at 200+ visits today. This is proof positive that the new site is useful and people are responding. Over time as we add features the traffic will likely grow even more so stay tuned...

We have posted a high quality pdf copy of the color Renovation Project Sequence Map, and the current project schedule which can both be found on the renovation project documents page. Please also note that as we get to within a month or so of your building the most current information will be posted on the renovation project calendar.

We have posted some Artistic renderings we had done to see what the new color schemes would look like on the buildings before the final decisions were made. We unanimously agreed that they look awesome. An order of magnitude improvement over what we have now. Also the real thing will look even better that the pictures since the renderings focused only on the colors and not the new smoother cleaner textures offered by the vinyl siding. Here is a link to the Renovation Photo Gallery where the pictures can be found.
