Great news! The first few weeks of the website being online have been a raving success. As you can see in the graph to the left there have been over 2500 visits to date averaging over 100 per day and peaking at 200+ visits today. This is proof positive that the new site is useful and people are responding. Over time as we add features the traffic will likely grow even more so stay tuned...
Remember that you can post feedback at anytime here.

We have posted a high quality pdf copy of the color Renovation Project Sequence Map, and the current project schedule which can both be found on the renovation project documents page. Please also note that as we get to within a month or so of your building the most current information will be posted on the renovation project calendar.

We have posted some Artistic renderings we had done to see what the new color schemes would look like on the buildings before the final decisions were made. We unanimously agreed that they look awesome. An order of magnitude improvement over what we have now. Also the real thing will look even better that the pictures since the renderings focused only on the colors and not the new smoother cleaner textures offered by the vinyl siding. Here is a link to the Renovation Photo Gallery where the pictures can be found.

As the first item to go live on the "day 2" site, today we have rolled out a new calendar application to track the renovation project access requirements. Check it out at this link. There will also be a more general list of dates placed on this page, but the intent is that this calendar will help with the tight coordination 6 weeks out.

Our website is complete for the 1.0 release except for one major planned feature. That planned feature is the "Official" Ravens Crest East Forums. We were ready to implement the forums until just a few days ago when during testing a major bug cropped up. This bug is bad enough that we worried that when the bug is fixed we could not guarantee there would not be data loss for the people who had posted up until that point. I felt that the prudent thing to do was to release the rest of the website, hold off on the official forums, and launch with a link to the Yahoo forums that some people are already using. We still plan to implement our own forums system as soon as the issue is worked out.
In the mean time the site is online for your... Read More » |

Today the RCE website got a new banner thanks to the graphical talents of the President, Neil Sutter. Thanks to Neil we have the beautiful banner at the top of the screen. We have been flying a temporary banner to date. Soon we will be able to replace the picture that makes up that banner with one showing the newly renovated buildings. Neil says he plans an making banners for different seasons and maybe even holidays... can you see a Halloween and Chrismas banner in our future? Anyway thanks again to Neil for his Graphical work.

Yesterday we signed a contract with KPI 2 after much deliberation. The renovation project is now officially underway. The target start date is April 28th 2008. We are now going into a preconstruction phase with the contractor where we will plan out the logistics and scheduling for the actual implementation of the renovations. Changes to our neighborhood are coming soon. We will post more details on this site as we go forward. We have also created a new Renovation area on the site... just click on the renovation tab above. We also plan to launch this site in the next few weeks so Stay tuned.

I would have never imagined that we would beat Dallas. Since then we have also beaten the Packers and are in the Superbowl tomorrow against New England. I predict victory over the Pats. Go Giants!!! On another note... we are getting ready to start the website development again. We have run into a couple snags getting the project going with contracts and planning. This website is a key part of the communication infrastructure for the project. We will implement a renovation project section that has schedules, logistic plans, frequently asked questions, and other helpful documentation.

Today the Giants play Dallas to stay in the playoffs. Since there are many Giants fans in Ravens Crest I wanted to say GO GIANTS! On another note we are progressing with the renovation project planning so the site has taken a back seat. Once the Renovation project is undeway and the work is in progress I will refocus my effort to getting this site online. It is already in great shape but does not have some fit and finish items. Its already better than the old one, but not quite where I want it at its new launch. Stay tuned for more info.
